Who we are

THE TEAM

Picture

Austin Adams
Owner, Outdoor Guide, Camp Director/Counselor, Accountant, Promoter, etc.

An elementary school teacher for the past fourteen years, this business grew out of a need to "survive" during the summer.  In 2015, Austin started this business with two kayaks, forty dollars, and a lot of friends nice enough to let him borrow kayaks, and he is very proud of what it has become. He grew up kayaking, boating, playing in the marsh, and exploring the waters of the Bogue Sound, about an hour north of Wilmington and has been exploring the waters around Wilmington for the past twenty years.

Certifications- US Coast Guard certified captain, First Aid/CPR

We're bored of the beach.....

Since 2015, we have been committed to providing visitors with authentic, local Southeastern North Carolina experiences.

Over the years, we've met so many people who have rented a house in our area for a week.  Like most folks that don't live at the coast, they usually start the week excited about the prospect of sitting on the beach for six or seven days, with nothing to do.

However, right around the third day, they start to get a little bored. Even sitting on the beach can get a little boring, if it is eight hours a day for seven days.  At that point, the questions begin.  What else is there to do around here?  Have you done______________?  Have you been to _____________?

Those conversations are where this business began.
