Field trips include:

  • Boat transportation to the island from Wrightsville Beach or Wilmington with USCG certified captain

  • Environmental marsh and island education taught by an AIG certified teacher with 15 years of experience. Topics include food webs, energy transfer within trophic levels, and producer/consumer/decomposer interactions, leveled for your age group

  • Recreational activities such as kayaking, crabbing, fishing, and swimming

  • Free access to project materials built by an AIG certified teacher (upon request)
